1946 was a banner year for on April 24th Carolyn Card Sutton was born. We were all so happy. This time it was I who was determined to have a girl and so was my father and sister. The Vogts and Reitingers both had girls by this time. "Sissy" was perfect in every way. She was adorable and never cried. She was only six weeks old when we took her down to #19 as we called the shore house. She was so good it made you feel guilty for not giving her enough attention. She was a big baby too-8lbs. 6 oz. at birth. She was very dainty though. She had big brown eyes and I called her my little "Black-Eyed-Susan".
